Data and Reporting Analyst

Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and process-driven professional to manage ensure the accuracy of our Energy Trading and Risk Management (ETRM) system’s data This role is critical in verifying that all executed trades are accurately reflected between our internal systems and counterparties, and in maintaining the ETRM as the single source of truth for commercial activity. This position sits on our Credit and Risk Team.

Key Responsibilities

Trade Confirmation & Reconciliation

• Review and validate trade confirmations received from counterparties against internal trade records

• Identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner

• Communicate directly with counterparties to reconcile differences and ensure alignment

• Maintain accurate documentation and audit trails for all confirmations

ETRM Ownership & Data Integrity

• Serve as the primary owner of trade data within the ETRM system

• Ensure all trades are accurately entered, updated, and maintained throughout their lifecycle

• Monitor system data for completeness, accuracy, and consistency

• Establish and enforce best practices for trade capture and data management

Process Improvement & Controls

• Develop and refine workflows for trade confirmation and reconciliation processes

• Implement controls to minimize discrepancies and operational risk

• Identify opportunities to automate or streamline processes

• Partner with trading, operations, and risk teams to improve data quality and system usage

Cross-Functional Coordination

• Work closely with traders, schedulers, risk, and accounting teams to resolve trade-related issues

• Support downstream processes such as settlements, P&L reporting, and risk analysis

• Act as a key point of contact for ETRM-related questions and troubleshooting
