This role sits within our Retail Energy Division and English fluency is required.

Provision and Peak 6 Power & Gas are retail energy suppliers that serve electricity and natural gas to homes and small businesses in Ohio, Michigan, and California, USA, and are subsidiaries of CarbonBetter. We’re seeking a new Inside Sales Manager or Supervisor to join our sales team.

Position Overview

Our Inside Sales Manager will lead our inside sales team located in Medellin, Colombia, focusing on retention, cross-selling, and new customer acquisition efforts by interacting with existing customers to retain their services and contracting new natural gas and electricity supply service customers. Tasks include building and managing a team of Customer Account Specialists, focusing on retaining customers through outbound calls, emails, and text messages, and leading outbound call efforts to enroll new energy customers. The Inside Sales Manager will help train, coach, and support the sales team, track sales results, ensure all associates follow sales and compliance requirements, and take accountability for the team’s results.


Fluency in English is required for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all sales associates make all their required sales calls and properly disposition each customer interaction.

  • Ensure each customer receives up to 6 phone calls during a 1-week cycle

  • Become familiar with sales scripts and procedures to retain customers and enroll new customers

  • Become an expert in communicating the value of being our customer

  • Support, coach, and lead sales associates, taking a portion of leads when needed

  • Track sales reports and make sure all sales associates are following up with customers as needed

  • Join sales meetings with the leadership team to provide feedback and opportunities to improve

  • Spend 10% to 20% of time making sales calls and enrolling customers

  • Escalate questions and concerns when needed

  • Engage with teammates over Slack in a timely, clear, and consistent manner

About You

  • You speak English fluently and can hold conversations with native English speakers.

  • You have direct call center & telemarketing sales experience, with a minimum of two (2) years managing sales teams.

  • You are a good listener and able to empathize with customers.

  • You feel comfortable training and coaching others, providing your team with the tools to be effective, and giving each sales associate an opportunity to grow professionally.

  • You are comfortable using a dialer system to track sales associates and engage with customers.

  • You are a team player, unafraid of asking for help or helping others.

  • You can think outside the box and are adept at problem-solving.

  • You’re extremely patient and reliable.

  • You’re very comfortable learning new software and following detailed processes.

  • You’re confident using Google Workspace and Slack and can adapt to new software quickly.

Requirements

  • Must have one (1) or more years of sales experience in a call center or similar environment

  • Must be able to follow specific and detailed instructions and processes

  • Must be able to sit at a computer Monday through Friday, between 9:00 am to 6:00 pm CT

  • Must have excellent English verbal and written communication skills

  • Must be comfortable learning new software, online tools, and processes

  • Must be patient, empathetic, and understanding even in the most challenging circumstances

  • Must be able to work on-site from our Medellin office in El Poblado
