Commodity Trading Analyst Internship – Summer 2026 (Austin, TX)

This 10-week, in-person internship in Austin, Texas is the gateway to our Accelerated Commodity Trader (ACT) Program, designed to rapidly develop high-potential talent into independent commodity traders building their own books of business. You’ll work on real operations, train with seasoned traders, and gain exposure to the strategies behind trading natural gas in North America.

What You’ll Do

Operational Experience

• Support real trades by managing pipeline nominations, confirmations, and scheduling logistics.

• Collaborate with operations specialists to ensure trades flow seamlessly across the grid.

Trading & Market Development

• Learn trading fundamentals: contracts, tariffs, risk, and P&L modeling.

• Work under trader mentorship to pitch and evaluate trade ideas through a sandbox book.

• Research market trends and pricing spreads to uncover opportunities.

Professional Growth

• Receive mentorship from experienced traders and ACT Program leaders.

• Build problem-solving and analytical skills through structured self-study.

• Gain real exposure to decision-making at the trading desk.

Who We’re Looking For

We are seeking curious, proactive, and ambitious current college juniors graduating in spring 2027 (pursuing degrees in Business, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or related fields) who are eager to launch their careers in trading.
